Koreans visit TSRC to discuss Social Enterprise
On 4th January Professor Sangjin Hahn and Meeyoung Hahn from the University of Uslan, South Korea, visited the Third Sector Research Centre. The purpose of their meeting, which was part of a longer UK study tour, was to discuss recent developments in social enterprise in the UK. They had a particular interest in whether the Community Interest Company legal structures could be adapted as a means of stimulating community businesses that could be more readily recognised within the Korean policy and legal context.
Early discussions were also held on the potential for a longer term comparative study of social enterprise in the UK and Korea – so watch this space.
