Your Involvement

TSRC aims to provide a resource for practitioners, policy makers and other academics involved in the third sector. We want to ensure that good quality academic research is available to inform policy and stimulate action across the sector.TSRC promotes their research at NAVCA conference

This means making our research accessible, as well as relevant and useful to those working in and supporting the sector. By engaging in the research process, you can help to identify how the research findings can be used and further questions that need answering.

We have established an Advisory Board and Reference Groups made up of representatives from third sector agencies, academics and policy providers. We also have a dedicated knowledge exchange team, who are working to ensure that our research engages with the widest range of stakeholders.

Ways to get involved

1. Stay in touch
Please join our mailing list, and we will keep you updated on our work and opportunities for involvement. You can also sign up for RSS feeds from our blog

2. Join the discussion
To have your say on our research and help inform its development, add your comments to our online discussion. This will enable researchers to see and respond to your ideas or queries.
You can contribute to the discussion on any of our research programmes or, to get the inside story, view our blog.

3. Attend a stakeholder event
These events will be held around specific research topics to help us engage with experts in the field. Through these events, practitioners, policy makers and other academics will help inform our research development and discuss the implications of the research for the sector. See events or join our mailing list to stay informed of upcoming opportunities.

4. Link with us
If you are working on research which may be relevant to us, or are holding an event which you would like us to speak at or contribute to, please contact the Knowledge Exchange Team.

5. Become a TRSC fellow
We offer opportunities for researchers, including those from third sector organisations, to establish a relationship with the Centre. Through the fellowship scheme, researchers can collaborate with, gain advice and support from, the Centre’s academics and other staff. We may also be able to support candidates applying for postdoctoral fellowships.

6. Build Research Capacity
We are linked to three capacity building clusters. These can offer you opportunities to work in collaboration with academics, on research areas of interest to you. See capacity building to find out more.

If you would like more details about these options, or have any other queries about involvement in our research, contact the Knowledge Exchange Team
