ESRC CASE Studentship
Understanding and Improving the Measurement of Community Investment Activities by Housing Associations
This CASE studentship in partnership with University of Birmingham Centre for Urban and Regional Studies (CURS) and the National Housing Federation offers an opportunity to work at the centre of an Audit of major consequence for better housing and neighbourhoods in England.
The closing date for applications is the 21st June 2010. Applicants must have a Masters degree in a relevant social science discipline, ESRC recognised research methods training and an interest in the role of community investment by housing organisations.

National Trust Volunteers in a Life-Course Perspective
The Third Sector Research Centre and the National Trust are offering a CASE studentship to explore the pathways through volunteering, and the relationship between the aspirations of volunteers and the goals of the National Trust. The student will be based at TSRC, at the University of Southampton, and will work closely with the National Trust.
Application deadline is the 1st June 2010. Applicants should have or expect an ESRC-recognised master’s programme in a relevant social science discipline, as well as good understanding of voluntarism and qualitative and quantitative methods.
